We post our boxes on 28th of each month (and 10th of the month subject to availability). We’ll let you know when your box is on the way to you. There’s no need to wait for it as the box will fit through a standard letter box.
We believe that growing, making and exploring are best done together so we do recommend that all activities are done with adult supervision.
Q. When will I receive my first box?
A. We post our boxes on 28th of each month. For orders placed on or after 28th of the month, we post boxes out again on 10th of the month (cut-off is mid-day on 9th). Boxes are posted by 2nd class Royal Mail.
Q. When does the subscription renew?
A. Unless your order is a gift, your subscription will auto-renew on 8th of the month which is when payment will be taken from your account.
The only exception to this is when ordering the current month's box on a monthly subscription - in this case your first renewal date will happen on the 25th. All further renewals will revert to 8th of the month. If that sounds complicated don't worry - you will receive a renewal reminder a few days before :-)
Q. What age are the activities suitable for?
Our activities are designed for children aged 3+. The activities are designed in a way that every member of the family can enjoy and learn something new! We provide suggestions on how to adapt activities depending on the child's age. NB. Our boxes are not suitable for children under 3 year of age as they contain small parts.
Q. I'm not ready to commit... Is it possible to just try it out?
A. Yes and you can enjoy 10% off whilst trying it too using code FIRSTBOX (for month-to-month subscriptions only). You can cancel anytime before the next renewal date by logging in to your account or emailing us. We will even send you an email reminder a few days before the renewal date so you don't miss it.
You can also order our boxes as a one-off gift which do not auto-renew.
Q. Is it possible to skip a month?
Q. Do you ship outside of the UK?
No, unfortunately we are unable to ship outside of the UK since our activity boxes contain seeds which are a restricted item. Since Brexit we are also unable to ship to Northern Ireland.
Q. I'm on Universal Credit, do I qualify for a free box?
We work with third sector organisations and food banks to deliver our free boxes to families within the community. Unfortunately we are unable to issue boxes directly to families who contact us.
